I've been playing for six years. I've had multiple accounts and even now play on a guest account (working through Idle again). I stayed because of the simple, reliable game mechanics, straightforward rules, maps that are colorful, interesting, themed, and varied, and for the progression aspect of the single player modes. i have never met anyone on here - in not sure what community everyone is talking about - but this is a great game.

just had my 11th wl/wz/wa birthday!

ive had this account since 2015, 11 years here, plus an account before that I forgot. I loved the risk game, then I fell in love with diplos. then ld and team games and 20/80 and commerce is my main favorites

Found Warlight/Warzone in 2015. Brought back old memories of fun times with friends and family.

1)Like many mainly play only a few maps. Big USA (and community or regulars) my favourite. I do enjoy going through and seeing all of the creativity of the map developers. Very cool feature of this site. Tournaments feature is great fun.

2) Met a friend (queenmom and i played a few thousand matches together)and then another and another - so many. Great fun to enjoy playing while chatting. Love that the game doesnt keep you glued to your seat with it as the only focus. Can play, chat, eat, watch a sports game. listen to music ... etc ...

3) im older so "old style format" suits me just fine. I dont need to be "IMMERSED" i just like to be "engaged" :) I enjoy teaching when i know the map and learning when i don't. My fun is the strategy and working with teammates for best outcome.

I seem to have been playing this game since 2011, so 15 years now. Never been very engaged with the community, but open to it.

i got busy with life, popped back on as in hospital, my last game was about 2013, i remember the very early days , i got a lot of fam and friends to join up.

The game. I like to play Risk, and this is the best multiplayer Risk game.

I stay for the hope of hosting a 50 slot custom scenario one day that doesn't have to be forced to be hosted as a "mega game"

Only 10 years? I played back when it was a flash game on Armor Games. I remember winning a game that was used in a commercial on YouTube. My proudest moment. Wish I could still access that account...

I came back because the game is fun. It's a dozen different related games, really. And I can scale up and scale down my commitment as my life changes.

I haven't played for 6 years until a few months ago. And its still as great as ever, very addictive, love it. Always played risk growing up, my favourite board game, essentially the same thing but more diverse.

I started playing this game around 13 years ago. I would've never guessed that a Google search for 'online risk' would lead to being in a community for so long.

Exactly half a year ago (February 10th), I was put into a coma for two weeks. Once I came back online, the support I got from some players was downright amazing and I admire the friendships that formed here. I had the privilege to have a bunch of people over to my place during the Groningen Open and I loved meeting everyone.

There's a lot of drama here, and that happens in any online game I suppose. But a lot of nice people I've met in my life tend to be from this simple online Risk game, and that still amazes me. That's why I've stuck around.

I was introduced by a friend in 2013 and have been playing pretty consistently since then. it's really a great game and I've made more friends here than any other online game. I like the casual pace, lack of ads and pay to win, and great community. I've also been tweaking the rules of risk since I was a kid, so finding this game was fun. I hope this game is around long enough that I can teach my kid to play it. Love you all, eat your veggies.

I just took a multiple year hiatus but never plan to ever again. I lost a game that was going for months and I left. Then when I started playing again I told myself I don’t think I’ll ever stop again. I had an Aunt that her favorite board game was actually Risk and she was the best in the family for years she passed away about 20 years ago from a brain tumor although I know she would’ve been playing this game everyday if she were alive until it was created.

And addictive OCD level need to finish certain things in idle bordering on severe mental illness.

Next month, it will be 11 years since I created this account, but I remember playing Warlight on Flash game sites all over the internet long before that.

I had only played RISK (the board game) after returning to Warzone two years ago.

What keeps me here is mostly the niche. I love maps and geography, and I also enjoy RP and strategic diplomacy. I'm also a huge fan of ASOIAF, so I would give a lot of credit to Koen27 and his map, "Huge Westeros".
I also respect Fizzer for sticking with the vision of the game through out the years.
