THE FIRST 17 GAMES ARE DONE. After taking a 6-3 lead on day one, DISASTER strikes and I lose 8 consecutive games, all on WR, giving Rufus an 11-6 lead. So far this series, I am 0-9 on WR, good thing for me, there is no WR left! Is this chapter one of a great comeback story, or is Rufus going to throw me in the slammer this series? We got 34 games left to decide! Odds were updated, and each of us gave a brief commentary on some of the games, let me know if you want specific games reviewed.

My game on Strat ME was indeed pretty bad, to be honest I wasn't actually counting out the card pieces, if I had I'd have realized I can defend Ant with 4 instead of putting that delay behind, definitely cost me there. As for the Belarus turn, I already viewed the game as dead lost at that point, only reason I did that was that I was hoping he would make a mistake and do attack/transfer with that stack not first order and I could gain some armies, or maybe I get a lucky 22v14 if he doesn't deploy there.

Should have another update somewhat soon, but we have slowed down the play a bit from the first few days.

I wonder if Octane would win more games of he think to play someone else than Rufus. (is playing Rufus causing to see ghosts)

We are officially two thirds of the way through the series, 34 GAMES! We left off last time with Rufus getting 8 straight wins on WR, well lo and behold, he managed to extend the win streak to 10 games, an adoption in the middle of a best-of-51! However, that doesn't mean I decided to go down without a fight, after we split our next 4 games to make the series a what seemed insurmountable 15-8 Rufus lead, I managed to pull off a 6 game winning streak of my own! At the end of the set, Rufus now leads the overall series 18-16. Can I complete the 7 game comeback, or will Rufus be able to close out what is now a much closer looking series? We have only 17 games left to decide!

Side note: We haven't yet written game reviews for the recent set, will try to do in the next day or two, if you want a specific game reviewed, feel free to say so! Also, I'll be updating the series more frequently with us now being close to the end, might even try to have the final games streamed if it's close enough.

Next 4 games are done, and it's an even 2-2 split, bringing Rufus a little bit closer to the finish line. The only standard SR template left is Strategic Greece, everything else has a special gimmick, give us your predictions on how the last 13 games will go!
