What's in the pack?
- Registration forum thread - The first 8 players to volunteer become managers - The first 40 players (including the managers) to volunteer become players
How to start playing?
Phase 1: Random draw
- Each manager is randomly assigned 3 players (2 + themselves), preferably in a streamed draw - Each manager is also assigned 1.000 Nohhams to spend to complete their team - Each manager now needs 2 extra players which they can buy from the transfer market
Phase 2: The auction
- Each manager must now buy exactly two players, from the 16 that are left. Once they have bought the second, they cannot buy more, even if they have nohhams left (so bid your whole amount on the second player you want). This is to ensure everyone gets to play. - The 16 players will be auctined one by one, in random order. - Once the last player is sold, each team has 5 players exactly.
Phase 3: The trading
- Managers are now free to trade/swap players. You can only swap one for one, two for two etc., the number of players must remain five per team at all times. This can be done privately. Managers cannot be swapped or traded. A trade is official once both managers involved in it post the trade in the forum thread. The trading phase lasts for five days, any trades post the deadline are void. Three and more way trades are also permissible.
Phase 4: The lineup
- The managers now assign each player they have acquired to one template of the five that will have been announced in the first post of the forum thread. Noone can be used twice and noone can be excluded. The lineup is official once the manager publishes it on the forum thread. They have two days to do so; if not done in time, the lineup will be random.
Phase 5: The qualifiers
- Each player now enters the round robin (two games at a time) tournament on the template they have been assigned. The best possible result is 7-0, so in a team of five, a perfect score would be 35 points (each win is worth 1 point). - The top 4 teams qualify for the semifinals. The first tie breaker is h2h between the teams. In case of a three or more way tie, the second tie breaker is the points the manager scored. If still tied, a coin flip decides.
Phase 6: The semifinals
- The best scoring team now faces the 4th best and the 2nd best scoring team faces the 3rd best. - Five new templates are presented, the manager assigns them to the players as in the qualifiers, with a two day time limit. - Whichever respective teams win three or more out of the five games qualify for the final.
Phase 7: The final
- The winner teams of the two semifinals now face each other. - The templates remain the same as in the semifinals, however, each template is now played three times between the same two players. - Whichever team wins eight or more of the fifteen games wins Manager League.

I tentatively put my hand up to be a manager. The idea seems fun, and those teams who communicate best should be favoured which is as it should be.

I can be a player but I won't be a manager. PS- Just saw you aren't organising this but still want to keep this as a sign of interest.

I think it would be cool if each manager got to contribute one template into a template pool for the round robin phase. Template draw to then take place in conjunction with bidding for players. Managers can spend some of their money to bid on a template instead of on a player, with the 5 templates that have highest total bids then used for round robin phase.
For knockout phase then use official templates chosen by league coordinator.
