Saw someone had an achievement for Real Time Ladder and wondered why something that is hosted outside the game (CLOT) is part of the game in this way, is MTL also the same, are there other examples of this stuff?

To be clear: that achievement (trophy) is for the old RT ladder that was hosted by game itself but died and neither that RT ladder nor the achievement are available anymore.

The CLOT-based Real Time Ladder is a completely different thing.

As for MTL, yes, you can also gain a trophy for being first on the MTL and holding it for some time (don't remember how long). But only around 10 players in history managed that.

There's also the trophy for creating "a beautiful map", which is something that the game creator (Fizzer) hands out manually, so in some sense it's also hosted outside the game, right?
Also I don't think he even does that anymore, so it's about as achievable as the RTL trophy.
