Since you finished last year’s 50 tournaments very quickly (at least faster than last year), I’m starting the 2020 Tour Finals event earlier too. (the Tour Finals 2019 is still running, Rak and Buns is playing for the first title, so they can pause (or one game at a time) their first round games here until that final finishes, if they want)
I changed two things compared to the previous year:
- You cannot earn Tour Points in this event (I have changed this in the 2019 Tour Finals conditions too)
The regular season (Tour Race) is about the Tour points, this Tour Finals is about the AWP World Champion title.
- There won't be fixed bracket, it will be defined by the TOP7 players of the Tour Race
(proposed by Hergul, but regardless, I planned exactly that :) )
- The bracket will be defined by the TOP7 seeded players, they will pick their opponents directly, in the following way:
- First round picking:
- The 1st seeded player picks her/his first round opponent from the 8 players of TOP9-TOP16.
- The 2nd seeded player picks her/his first round opponent from the remained 7 players of TOP9-TOP16.
- The 3rd seeded player picks her/his first round opponent from the remained 6 players of TOP9-TOP16.
- The 4th seeded player picks her/his first round opponent from the remained 5 players of TOP9-TOP16.
- The 5th seeded player picks her/his first round opponent from the remained 4 players of TOP9-TOP16.
- The 6th seeded player picks her/his first round opponent from the remained 3 players of TOP9-TOP16.
- The 7th seeded player picks her/his first round opponent from the remained 2 players of TOP9-TOP16.
- The 8th seeded player is paired with the remained player of TOP9-TOP16.
QF picking:
- The 1st seeded player picks her/his QF opponent from the 4 pairs of TOP5-TOP8 players.
- The 2nd seeded player picks her/his QF opponent from the remained 3 pairs of TOP5-TOP8 players.
- The 3rd seeded player picks her/his QF opponent from the remained 2 pairs of TOP5-TOP8 players.
- The 4th seeded player is paired in QF with the remained pair of TOP5-TOP8 players.
SF picking:
- The 1st seeded player picks her/his SF opponent from the 2 brackets of TOP3-TOP4 players.
- The 2nd seeded player is paired in SF with the remained bracket of TOP3-TOP4 players.
Unfortunately Kicorse retired, so I have invited the 17th player, Xenophon instead of him.
