I am voting for option 3). A clan is an entity sui generis. It should always be the clan that matters, not individual players who has represented that clan in past seasons. After all, it's a clan league, not a league of individual players.

Tally thus far: (I'm counting all the 1 or 4s as 1s since they're the same thing)

1) Keep the rule and give Master the spot:13 (76%)
2) Revise the rule, but give Master the spot: 2 (12%)
3) Revise the rule and don't give Master the spot: 2 (12%)

We also had 11 extraneous responses, 1 vote to give the spot to Darklords, and 1 vote to give the spot to Master on the condition they make the Mayo their leader.

I encourage people to keep voting and let their voices be heard. The more people chime in the more accurate the results will be.

Well, those rules were created to address situations where a clan went away and the members split to other clans. The example that prompted that rule was when CPU dissolved and their members went to 3 clans basically. I am not sure those rules even apply to this situation at all.

There are other rules in place to prevent the manipulation of slots. I am not saying they should/should not get the slot, but this is more closely aligned with the Lynx/101st situation. I don't think the rules you have posted are the biggest ones the rules panel should consider.

Wasn't the specific rule that's under consideration right now created because of the Lynx/Outlaws split? If it was already in place before that, we wouldn't have those 600 beautiful posts of drama

It's closesly aligned with the lynx/101st situation, and that was the wrong decision.

The new rule post-101st/outlaws split gives the spot to the players, even when the clan losing the spot is unhappy with that.

Giving Masters the spot is way less controversial than giving outlaws the spot, as the clan losing the spot is happy with the decision, and is now part of masters.

But the French are unhappy!
