the blue in water is caused by plastic microfibers, along with various hueman, animal, synthetic, and earthen oils. plant oils do not affect the color of water. the common myth of the sky causing water to be blue is simply not true, you can see this when diving in floridian aquifers(the infestation is deep, even the molten core of the earth is infected with microplastics and oils) out of the reach of the suns. you are poisoning your fish,, start triple filtering your water

Then why do people draw rain drops as blue? Aren't they clear?

That does at times bother me. It is large volumes of water that has color, like with air. A little bit of water should be clear unless dyed.
