Statistics Window
The Statistics Window provides detailed information about a game, including player performance, graphs, and map data.
The window is divided into three tabs:
- Players
- Graphs
- Search
In Team Games, an additional Teams tab is available. This tab functions similarly to the Players tab, but groups statistics by team instead of by individual player.
Fog and Visibility
The Statistics Window does not reveal any information that is unavailable through the game's history.
In ongoing Fog games, the Statistics Window cannot see hidden territories, hidden armies, or any other information obscured by fog. It simply presents the information already available to you in a more convenient format.
Once a game has ended, you can revisit the Statistics Window to view complete information about the game.
Players Tab
The Players tab displays statistics for each player in a table format.
The following metrics are shown:
- Income
- Territories owned
- Armies on the map
- Player state (Playing, Eliminated, Winner, etc.)
Additionally, a green lens button lets you easily locate this player, team, or neutral's territories on the map.
Teams Tab
In team games, the Teams tab displays similar information to the Players tab, but aggregated by team.
This makes it easier to compare the overall strength and progress of each team throughout the game.
Graphs Tab
The Graphs tab displays game information over time.
Available graph metrics include:
- Armies on the map
- Territories owned
- Base income per turn
- Actual armies deployed per turn
- Cumulative offensive luck (in Randomized Combat games)
- Cumulative defensive luck (in Randomized Combat games)
- Total cumulative luck (in Randomized Combat games)
These graphs can be useful for analyzing expansion, identifying turning points in a game, and comparing player performance.
Understanding Luck Values
Luck values measure how much a player's combat results have differed from their expected results.
For example, suppose 10 armies attack a territory. Under the default kill rates, those attackers are expected to kill 6 defending armies.
- If they kill exactly 6 armies, the luck value is 0.
- If they kill 7 armies, the luck value is +1.
- If they kill 5 armies, the luck value is -1.
The luck value for an individual attack can be viewed by hovering over that attack in the Turn Actions panel.
Offensive and Defensive Luck
Offensive Luck is the sum of the luck values from attacks issued by a player.
Defensive Luck is the sum of the luck values from attacks made against that player's territories.
Total Luck is simply:
Offensive Luck + Defensive Luck
For example:
- A total luck value of +50 means the player has gained approximately 50 more armies worth of value than expected.
- A total luck value of -15 means the player has lost approximately 15 armies worth of value compared to expected outcomes.
Luck values can be useful for evaluating how much combat randomness influenced a game's outcome.
Players who prefer more predictable combat can reduce the effect of luck by lowering the Luck Modifier.
Search Tab
The Search tab allows you to quickly locate territories and bonuses by name.
This can be useful on large maps where manually locating a territory may be difficult.
The Search tab also displays the total value of all Bonuses on the map combined.
