Note that recipes are different for every level.

Changing Recipe
If you change the recipe of a smelter or crafter while it's in the middle of smelting or crafting, the resources it was working with will be refunded to you.

Boost
There are 3 types of boost: 1. AP; 2. Tech; 3. Card. Each type stack status unknown. (Possibly tech could stack. Who can test?)

The 3 types stack by multiply, and the display is using ceil().

For example: Al Bar: (0%) -> 118. (25%,10%) -> 80. (25%,10%,12%) -> 71. The last is from: ceil(118 * (1 - 25) * (1 - 10%) * (1 - 12%)) = 71.

Lead Bar: (0%) -> 48. (25%,10%) -> 33 [32.4->33, so it must be ceil()]. (25%,10%,12%) -> 29. The last is from: ceil(48 * (1 - 25) * (1 - 10%) * (1 - 12%)) = 29. Since 33*.88=29.04 and 32.4*.88=28.512, the multiply must have happened in the end, instead of having happened on the middle ceil() result.

This page describes how Warzone Idle saves your progress. This is relevant if you play Warzone Idle from multiple devices or from multiple browsers while signed into the same Warzone account. It can also be relevant if you play in private browsing windows or have software installed that clears your browser local storage.

You should never play Warzone Idle from two devices or browsers at the same time. Doing so could cause data loss.

This is because the app saves to the server every time you close the app and every 10 minutes if you keep it open that long. If you have it open in multiple places, the latest save will overwrite the earlier save, causing you to lose progress. If you try to open the game in two tabs of the same browser, you'll get a warning to save you from this data loss. However, if you try to play on different devices or different browsers, this safety net is not present and you can lead to data loss.

You can also force the game to sync. In the Unity app (iOS, Android, Standalone) you can find a Sync button by clicking the head icon in the top right. In the web-based version, you can force a sync with the hotkey Ctrl+Alt+G.

Artifacts are permanent upgrades you can find in Warzone Idle. Artifacts and advancements are the only things that give permanent Warzone Idle upgrades.

You may only have 3 artifacts equipped at any time. Those are the only 3 that have any effect. Some artifacts are Passive which means their effects always apply while equipped, and others must be activated and then have a cooldown until you can activate them again.

To change the three artifacts you have equipped, open the Advancements tab and click View All next to artifacts. Then drag the one you want to equip into a box at the top.

To activate a non-passive artifact, equip it and then look for the Activate button on the advancements tab. It will then "cool down" until it can be used again.

Note that you cannot un-equip an artifact that's cooling down. You also cannot equip two identical artifacts.

Getting Artifacts
Artifacts can be found by digging at dig sites that you find while playing Warzone Idle. All Warzone Idle levels have dig sites other than the tutorial, the first level, and the bonus level.

Once started, a dig site disappears from the map and will be shown on the Advancements tab.

Timing
Note that the times specified in dig sites, as well as artifact cooldown and upgrade time, are in real-world time and are not affected by how often you open the game or what your maximum Idle Time is set to.

Challenges are levels within Warzone Idle where you compete against an enemy AI.

Challenges remain locked until you unlock the auto-conquer advancement in Phase 2.

To access them, visit the Warzone Idle main menu and look for the Challenges tab at the bottom.

Challenges can be played concurrently with a normal Warzone Idle level. They don't interrupt or interfere with your normal Warzone Idle level.

How it Works
When you click Play, the challenge level will be played out right before your eyes very rapidly. The entire level usually takes less than 30 seconds. However, the in-game time that passes is very rapid, usually many days. If you have an advancement that acts every hour, for example, it will act many times during challenges since the in-game time that passes is accellerated.

No interaction is allowed. You cannot manually conquer territories, upgrade army camps or mines, etc. This is why the auto-conquer advancement is required, as its ability to automatically conquer territories is essential to being able to expand in a challenge level.

You can, however, pause and resume the action via the pause button in the upper left corner. This allows you to inspect what's going on in the middle of a level.

While the maps used in the challenges are the same maps used as normal levels, they are generated using a different algorithm and therefore army counts, asset placements, recipe placements and everything else on the map will be different.

Reward
Each challenge level awards 100 AP when winning. The reward is only earned the first time you defeat each challenge level.

This amount is not affected by the advancement that increases AP earned from levels.

How to Win
The only way to improve your performance in challenges is by upgrading your advancements. If you lose, go earn some more AP, spend it, and then re-try the challenge level. There's no penalty for losing, and no limit to the number of times you can attempt each level.

Some advancements help challenges more than others. For example, the "auto" advancements help a lot, such as upgrading Auto Conquer, Auto Upgrade Army Camps, Auto Sell, etc. Army camp production and Joint Strike advancements work passively and therefore also help.

Some advancements don't help at all. For example, increasing max idle time.

Combat
Unlike normal Warzone Idle levels, challenges have an enemy on the map to fight against.

The way combat works is simple: Every territory has an army cost to conquer. Before its conquered for the first time, it is shown on the map, but after it is owned by a player its cost is no longer shown. When a territory is conquered, its army cost doubles. It can then be conquered by another player, at which point it doubles again. This process then repeats. Having the cost rise like this is essential for breaking a stalemate where players conquer the same territory back and forth forever -- its cost will eventually rise high enough that one player decides to no longer fight for it.

Assets (mines, army camps, smelters, etc.) can change ownership during a game. When conquered, they will produce for their new owner. Smelters and crafters can be conquered even when in the middle of working on an item, and that partial progress will be transferred to the new owner.

Recipes and caches never change ownership and are acquired immediately. If you conquer a smelter or crafter that's working on a recipe you don't own, it will immediately stop working on it and the ingredients will be refunded to the new owner.

Some territories of Warzone Idle may have an Arena. An Arena lets you get bonus resources (armies, money, ores, etc.) by playing a Quickmatch game on a fixed template. You can play the Arena game upon conquering the Arena territory or defer it for later (by closing the pop-up).

Like with mines, smelters, caches, and crafters, Arenas spawn on fixed locations. The template for an Arena game is also pre-determined; it's listed in the Arena pop-up (visible upon either conquering the territory or clicking the "Play" button in the territory description).

Arena games are ordinary Quickmatch games (except with a specific template). They will affect your Quickmatch rating.

Reward & Redemption
The Arena reward is essentially a double sized cache.

It is redeemed upon returning to Idle after winning a Quickmatch Arena game. You can retry the Arena as many times as it takes for you to win. The Arena will disappear once you claim its reward.

Mines are the core way to get ore in Warzone Idle. Mines generate ore every second. You can find mines by exploring on the map and conquering them.

Mines can be upgraded to produce more ore per second. The upgrade cost varies depending on the mine and the level, so the costs are not listed in this wiki.

The ore that mines generate can be refined into bars via Smelters

Generation Rate
Each mine generates different types of resources, and in different ratios. For example, a mine could generate 100% copper, or 30% copper and 70% tin.

The total ore each mine generates is based on this formula:

0.3 * Level ^ 2 + Level + 2

If mine's level is 1, multiply result by 0.3. If mine level is 2, multiply result by 0.6. If mine level is 3, multiply result by 0.8.

The result of this formula is then divided into the resource types it generates.
Mine Generation Ratios
Mines produce either one, two or three different kinds of ore. The total production of a mine depends on the level of the mine and other upgrades, however the ratios of ores a mine produces doesn't change per level unless increased ore production advancements are purchased. The basic ratios are displayed in the tabular below, with the first 42 mines in the same order as displayed in the IDLE.

The Warzone Idle section of this wiki is currently under construction.

The goal is to document the way the core engine works, without including any level-specific information. For now, level-specific information is considered a spoiler, and should not be published to the wiki. We want players to discover this on their own. Level-specific information is defined as anything that changes between each level, such as the maps, tech costs, recipe costs, and item sell prices.
The game was announced in July of 2020 and since 24 Oct. 2020 open to any player.
About this Wiki
The Warzone Idle section of this wiki is currently under construction.

The goal is to document the way the core engine works, without including any level-specific information. For now, level-specific information is considered a spoiler, and should not be published to the wiki. We want players to discover this on their own. Level-specific information is defined as anything that changes between each level, such as the maps, tech costs, recipe costs, and item sell prices.

Cheating in Warzone Idle
Any attempts to cheat will result in your Warzone account being banned (along with any of your alts). Do not attempt to modify the game data, modify your system clock, or automate the game in any fashion except as provided within the game's normal UI. You have been warned.
